"Green is Life 2015" – "Złoty Wawrzyn" prize for the most attractive plant stand and brown medal awarded to Corylus avellana Purple Umbrella

We are pleased to inform you that during this year’s "Green is Life" exhibition, Corylus avellana Purple Umbrella 'JM 251' PBR proposed by our Nursery was appreciated and awarded a brown medal in the Plant Novelties Competition.


Purple Umbrella is the first red-leaved hazel of weeping habit. It forms a small umbrella-shaped tree. In spring its leaves are deep purple, almost black. The variety is frost hardy and tolerant in respect of soil.

At the same time, our stand designed by Magdalena Szmit was awarded "Złoty Wawrzyn" – the highest prize in the competition for the most attractive plant stand.
