Picea pungens 'Gwiazdor'

This slowly growing variety with wide conical habit grows up to 3–4 m high. It has relatively short needles and cream white spring young growths constitute its most significant decoration.


They become blue grey over time. The variety is recommended to backyard gardens, where it can be grown separately or in compositions with shrubs and perennials.

The variety was found and named by Bronisław Szmit in the mid-1990s.
