Quercus robur 'Posnania'

Low growing variety of Quercus robur grows up to 8–10 m high and has spreading pendant crown. Up to 25 cm long fancifully indented leaves constitute the most significant decoration of the tree. ‘Posnania’ variety is completely frost hardy.

The variety was found by Ewa Jerzak of the Botanic Garden of Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań. Posnania is the Latin term for polish city Poznań.

Our Nursery started its cultivation in 2011 and it was awarded in the novelties contest at the “Green is Life” exhibition.
