Weigela florida LIME MONSTER 'BRS1' PBR – Krzewuszka cudowna LIME MONSTER
This new Polish variety of Weigela florida is unique because of its original, slightly crenate and fancifully curled leaves that are lime (light green).
Leaves are even up to 25 cm long (on young growths) and are the largest ones among varieties of the species. They make the plant look exotic and resemble slightly "rescaled" leaves of basil. Red "flushes" can be observed on the leaves in late summer and autumn.
The variety is recommended for backyard gardens, parks, and public greenery. Can be planted in groups of few plants or in compositions with other shrubs or perennials. Recommended as
background for perennial beds. The variety poorly blooms light pink. Shoots with large leaves can be used for floristic arrangements.
The variety was created in our Nursery; bred by Bronisław Jan Szmit.
